Village VoiceYOU really need do this . . . . from Auckland Transport

From 18 March to 29 April, residents of the Waitakere Ranges area are invited to submit feedback on what public transport services they require, in a survey run by Auckland Transport.

  • Do you live in the Waitakere Ranges? Visit AT.govt.nz/haveyoursay to participate, or complete the freepost feedback form in the brochure being mailed to all residents during the week of 4th April (after Easter).
  • The survey is for residents and property owners of Piha, Karekare, Te Henga (Bethells Beach), Waiatarua, Oratia, Henderson Valley, Wood Bay, French Bay, Paturoa Bay, South Titirangi, Huia, Cornwallis, Parau, Konini (Kaurilands Rd, Daffodil St, Konini Rd), Woodlands Park, Laingholm.

Public TransportPotential destinations, routes, and frequencies are being explored, as well as how popular any services are likely to be.

“Working with the Waitakere Ranges Local Board, this survey is the first step in investigating the level of demand for west coast communities such as Piha, Karekare, and Te Henga (Bethells), as well as the urban fringe areas beyond Green Bay, Titirangi and Glen Eden” says Anthony Cross, Public Transport Network Manager.

This investigation follows a similar survey that was run over January and February this year by the Waitakere Ranges Local Board, aimed at visitors to West Coast beaches.

The results of the survey will be made public once feedback has been analysed, and the next steps have been decided.
