Forecast suggests more sunshine, showers
Summer is here and Auckland has the forecast to prove it, with some morning cloud and then a fine day expected to reach 24 degrees, including North-easterlies.
There are similar conditions in Northland and the Bay of Plenty with Dargaville, Kerikeri and Whangarei expected to reach either 23 or 24 degrees, though with a few showers.
It will be a great day for sailing in the Manukau Harbour and Waitemata Harbour.Ā There will be a northeasterly wind of 10 knots, rising to 15 knots for a time this afternoon in the Waitemata harbour.
The seas will be slight.
For surfers the West Coast has the best beaches with 2-and-a-half metres swells.
The best of the beaches are Muriwai, Bethells and Piha.
In Auckland the low tide is 7:43am and the high 2:15pm and on the West Coast its low tide is at 10:38am and its high at 4:43pm.
