I was given a private tour of the Piha’s new ablution block today
Fiona is beside herself with the new ablutions for her campers. I’m sure many Piha folk and visitors will be pretty thrilled with the new public toilets too. Fi took me on a fun private tour today. Here are some photos for you to enjoy. Thanks Fi
Below: Public toilets and beautiful seating area then toilets for campers.
Below: Fiona on the beautiful public seats next to the clematis and then me on one of the neat seats in the same area.
Below: Fiona showed me where water is treated for it’s second use to flush the toilets. Great. Then Fiona on the throne showing how nice and spacey they are.
Below: Great outdoor water tap and Fiona peeping out of the men’s shower in the camper’s area.
Below: This is a very stylish outdoor shower and Fiona playing peek-a-boo again.
Below: For the life of me I can’t understand why public toilets close so early. Triggered security lighting, inside and out, would surely go toward alleviating people damaging them. There may be a few teething problems with people accessing them over the planted area but that can be sorted out when the ‘trend’ is seen. Then three beautiful Nikau adding the the stunning architecture of the public amenity.
Council has done a fabulous job with the design of these new public toilets and ablutions for Piha Domain campers. Thanks for the tour Fi.
