2 Comments 08 September 2015

What do you think about this rating idea?

CaptureFarmLifestyle2We want to hear your views on how we rate farm and lifestyle properties.

We want to understand the range of views held by the rural community about how rates should be shared across farm and lifestyle properties.

  • Do you think all farm/lifestyle properties should be rated the same?
  • Or is it fair to charge small farm/lifestyle properties more and large farm/lifestyle less?
  • Do you have any other comments on how Auckland Council rates rural properties?

  1. viv tasker says:

Lifestyle block owners are no better off than residential property owners. Believe me I’ve been both ends of the stick. You do lifestyle because you love it. But it sucks up so much of your money. Also I’ve sold lifestyle blocks as I’m a real estate agent .

  2. This is not the Local Board’s meeting, we are merely hosting it in our office. The rates team is doing this consultation at the request of Governing Body councillors.
